The Latest from Ansa - Winter 2026

Starting 2026 Strong: A $1Bn Milestone, New Partners, and Portfolio Wins

2026 has started with strong momentum across the Ansa ecosystem—highlighted by a $1Bn valuation milestone, a new announced investment, and great execution across our portfolio. We also welcomed our first extern from Princeton’s endowment, Celia Buchband, who will be joining us for the winter at Ansa HQ.

Defense Unicorns lives up to its name: $136M Series B at $1Bn Valuation

Defense Unicorns, the leader in air-gap software delivery for national security, announced a $136 million Series B financing led by Bain Capital to kick off the new year. The round values the company at over $1Bn, underscoring Defense Unicorns’ role as foundational infrastructure for secure software delivery.

Two years ago, Ansa Capital led Defense Unicorns’ Series A, marking our first core investment as a fund. Today, Defense Unicorns remains one of Ansa’s largest investments in the Fund.

This milestone is a testament to the hard work of the entire team and the growing impact they’re having across the defense technology ecosystem.

Marco DeMeireles, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Ansa Capital, shared:

"We've been proud to partner with Defense Unicorns since the Series A, and our continued investment reflects the conviction we've built watching the team execute against an incredibly complex and mission-critical problem. What Rob and the team have built is foundational infrastructure for modern defense, and this next chapter only reinforces the scale of impact ahead."

Firm News

New Investment: Synthpop

We’re excited to announce that Ansa has led the Series A for Synthpop

U.S. healthcare administrative spending totals nearly $1T annually, yet the workflows that underpin the industry remain outdated and heavily labor-intensive.

Behind every patient interaction is a dense layer of administrative work, intake, documentation validation, eligibility checks, payer communication, and follow-ups. Synthpop's agents can process tasks like prior authorizations in minutes instead of days, dramatically reducing administrative burden while improving accuracy.

The early value delivered to customers has been extremely compelling; we’re thrilled to lead the Series A, join the Board and partner with Elad Ferber, Jan Jannink and the Synthpop team.
